East meets west.

This is a Javanese home built in Perth.  The frontage faces the east.  So how is this going to be lit its best?

To emphasize the glass frontage I felt it would be best at pre-dawn.  The eastern pre-dawn sky would be much lighter than the western sky behind.  This will exaggerate the glass frontage shape.

So, alarm set for 4am, forecast for intermittant rain.... 

A clear Winter Solstice.

At the Winter Solstice the sunset/sunrise is at its northern-most position (here south of the equator).  So the best time to get a sunset/sunrise reflection off a north-facing building is around this time.  This happens to be winter in this part of the world, so there are not many clear evenings.  But when they are clear, they are very clear.
