What Shadows Reveal.
Dawn/Dusk shots are important. But what gets me excited is a sort of 'henge' moment, a moment when a shadow reveals more about a place, that cannot be shown without it. This involves timing, the right timing.

A clear Winter Solstice.
At the Winter Solstice the sunset/sunrise is at its northern-most position (here south of the equator). So the best time to get a sunset/sunrise reflection off a north-facing building is around this time. This happens to be winter in this part of the world, so there are not many clear evenings. But when they are clear, they are very clear.
